Houston – What is there to do in the Houston area?
Houston
Dr. Bazgha Khalid, an internal medicine attending at Eldridge Clinic, said what she sees at the clinic is common colds and some COVID-19.
Dr. Yen Nguyen, pediatrician at Eldridge Clinic, has seen several cases of RSV, asthma exacerbations, and wheezing exacerbations. In addition, since the beginning of school, colds have become common.
Additionally, the city of Houston shows that fall allergies are currently high.
fort bend county
Dr. Pamela Sanders, a pediatrician at Fort Bend Medical and Diagnostic Center, said she mostly sees viral upper respiratory tract infections and gastroenteritis. Her clinic hasn’t received many flu cases yet.
Pearland
Dr. Melanie Ribbeck, pediatrics at Pearland Clinic, said she is seeing a lot of viral upper respiratory tract infections and gastroenteritis going on. This week, she detected her first case of the flu, which means she’s encouraging everyone to get their flu shot now.

Dr. Karen Wittenburg, pediatrician at Clear Lake Clinic, said she’s seen a lot of RSV (and several babies hospitalized for it), strep throat, and a few COVID-19 infections. Then again, there aren’t many COVID cases here, which means the peak of the season is yet to come.
