Brainerd Fraternal Order of Eagles will have breakfast

BRAINERD — The Fraternal Order of Eagles of Brainerd will serve breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to noon Sunday, Oct. 8, at 124 Front St., Brainerd.

The Eagles special is $10. An a la carte menu is also available.

Brainerd VFW meeting scheduled

BRAINERD – The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post Office and Auxiliary will meet on Tuesday, October 10th.

The 7:00 p.m. meeting will be held at 309 South Sixth Street in downtown Brainerd.

Hackensack American Legion Auxiliary No. 202

HACKENSACK — The Hackensack American Legion Auxiliary 202 will serve breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Oct. 15 at the clubhouse.

The menu includes a choice of biscuits and egg dip or French toast with bacon and eggs. Both include juice and coffee for $8.

Proceeds will support youth scholarships.

Lakes Prostate Cancer Foundation Support Group will meet on October 12th

BRAINERD — The Lakes Prostate Cancer Foundation Support Group will meet at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at the Legacy Golf Clubhouse on East Gull Lake Cragoon, in the second floor meeting room.

The Lakes Prostate Cancer Foundation’s mission is to increase public awareness of prostate cancer by providing life-saving information through casual and informative support groups for men and their caregivers.

The Brainerd Chapter of the National Association of Current and Retired Federal Employees will meet

BRAINERD — The Brainerd Chapter of the National Association of Current and Retired Federal Employees will meet Tuesday, Oct. 10, at the American Legion on Front Street in Brainerd.

DAR monthly meeting scheduled for October

BRAINERD – The Captain Robert Orr National Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Brainerd Masonic Center, located at the corner of Sixth and Front streets in Brainerd.

This will be an annual meeting. Committee chairmen must submit their annual reports. Those attending must bring their own lunch.

Crow Wing County Fair Board of Directors to begin meeting

BRAINERD — The Crow Wing County Fair Board of Directors will begin meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 9 and will continue to meet on the second Monday of the month through April 2024 in the Ground Services Building on the lower level.

This will serve as notice of a change of venue under the Open Meetings Act.

WAUKENABO — The Adult Dance will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Wednesday, October 11th in Waukenabo with music by Jerry and Leroy.

XI Alpha Delta Kappa Chapter will meet

BRAINERD – Alpha Delta Kappa Chapter XI will meet at 4 p.m., Monday, Oct. 9, at the Brainerd Learning Center, 311 10th Ave. NE, Brainerd, for the October meeting.

Anne Hunnicutt will talk about the Bridges of Hope shelter, an altruistic project, this month. Members are also reminded to pay annual dues.

Brainerd Duplicate Bridge Club

BRAINERD — Here are the results of the Brainerd Duplicates Club meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 4: First: Bruce Eastman and Patrick Spradlin, 31; second: Bruce and Katie Buxton – 26.5; third: Bob and Sandy Crozier, 25 years old.

Duplicate Bridge takes place every Wednesday at 12:30pm at Westgate Shopping Centre. Everyone is welcome.
