Michael Jordan and Mike Tyson are two famous athletes in the world of basketball and boxing respectively. They both maintain excellent records in their respective sports.
A six-time NBA champion and recipient of numerous awards, Jordan is regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time.
Tyson, meanwhile, is widely regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time, setting the record for being the youngest heavyweight champion and achieving the most consecutive knockouts in heavyweight history.
Despite their reputations, both athletes have faced controversy. Tyson was known for his cantankerous temper outside the ring and had feuds with celebrities including Jordan.
Experts believe Tyson’s lack of preparation for the fight stemmed from personal issues. He was greatly disturbed by his failed marriage to actress Robin Givens, who accused him of emotional and physical abuse.

Rory Holloway, who once represented Tyson, shared his thoughts on the infamous night between Mike Tyson and Michael Jordan in his book Taming the Beast.
“Mike Tyson sat sipping his favorite drink, Long Island tea, which often allowed his true emotions to emerge,” Holloway recalled in his autobiography.
“Seeing where things were going, I instructed the bartender to dilute his drink. Tyson stared at Michael Jordan across the table and asked, ‘Do you think I’m a fool? I know you messed up with my daughter.’ ‘
Jordan was visibly shocked. “I know what happened between you two. Feel free to admit that,” Tyson continued. Clearly, Jordan wanted no part of the order. He just wanted to escape the scene.
Tyson then turned his attention to (Mike) Ditka and asked: “Despite all the racist comments you’ve been spouting, do you really think anyone is afraid of you?”
Next he said to Dent: “Richard, are you afraid of this unimportant white man?” “Are you going to allow him to go on like this?”
That night was truly a spectacle. Don King tried to divert attention. John and I fervently tried to control Tyson, who was determined to fight Jordan.
Jordan was impeccably dressed as always, but he couldn’t get out of trouble fast enough.
“Thankfully, Michael was wise to opt out and defuse the tension,” Holloway added.
