Who is Capo Plaza? Biography of the rapper

Luca D’Orso, better known as Chief Plaza, was born in Salerno on April 20, 1998 from an accountant mother and an office worker father. He grew up in the Pastena neighborhood in the city’s eastern suburbs, where he became interested in hip-hop after watching rapper Kanye West’s “Stronger” music video at the age of nine.

D’Orso’s passion for hip-hop is further developed when he asks his uncle for a CD of rap songs from the time, including artists such as Sean Paul, Jay-Z and Lil Wayne.

At the age of 13, in 2011, he began to write his first poems, and in 2013 he debuted under the pseudonym Capo Plaza on his YouTube channel with the song “I fell”. In 2014 he moved to Milan and signed a duet with Sfera Ebbasta, becoming more and more famous in the Italian trap scene.

Released an album in 2016 “Sulamente nuye” in collaboration with rapper Peppe Sox, and in 2017 he signed with Sto Records, a label owned by Gali.

His single “Workout #2” allows him to gain further popularity.

Chief Plaza reaches the top of the FIMI Album Rankings in 2018 with his first official album, “20”, entirely produced by its producer Ava. The album contains singles “I will never change” AND Teslathe latter was created in collaboration with Sfera Ebbasta and DrefGold.

In 2021 he releases his third studio album, “Plaza”, which is #1 on Top Singles and includes collaborations with artists such as Gunna, Sfera Ebbasta, Lil Tjay, A Boogie wit da Hoodie and Luciano. The basics of the project were entrusted to Ava and Mojobeatz.

The rapper then released the 12-song mixtape “Hustle Mixtape” in 2022, including singles. “Goyard” AND Capri San.

With the years gone by Chief Plaza he has established himself as one of the leading figures in the Italian trap scene, achieving significant success both in Italy and abroad.
