Who joins Niall, John, Rebbe and Gwen in Blind Auditions Part 6 (LIVE BLOG)

Tonight on “The Voice” coaches Niall Horan, John Legend, Reba McEntire And Gwen Stefani all the ways to discover and teach the next singing phenomenon on the sixth night of the Blind Auditions.

The four-time Emmy Award-winning music competition series returns with top vocalists from across the country invited to compete in a new season of the show, premiering September 25 on NBC (8:00 p.m. PT). The innovative format of the show includes five stages of competition: blind auditions, battle rounds, knockouts, playoffs and live performances.

8:00 pm – “Previously on “The Voice”!” In the fifth episode, the coaches continued to form their teams through the fourth Blind Audition. Reba’s team joined Angelina Nazarian, In Boogie And Crystal Nicole. Niall’s team joined Tanner Massey And Nini Iris. Joining Team Gwen was Brandon Montel. Joined Team Legend Leela Forde, Jara Womack And Elizabeth Evans. Let’s see what Night 6 has to offer!

20:02 – The first artist of the evening was 37 years old. Willie Gomez from Miami who lost his father just a few years after his family moved to the United States from the Dominican Republic. This loss “shaped” Willie in the sense that it saw him turn to art, music and dance, and build relationships in the dance industry for stars such as Britney Spears. At the audition, he sang the Spanish song “La Bachata”. Gwen was captivated by the performance and turned her chair long before Reba, John, and then Niall did. Niall spoke first, commenting on the inclusion of dance in her performance coupled with his “strong, round voice.” Gwen added that he has “such stage presence” and a “flawless” voice. John has noticed the richness of his baritone voice and believes he has the potential to become a big star. Reba called him “cute as a button” and said she loved his performance. Willie said his heart told him to choose John, and that’s exactly what he did.

20:10 – The next artist was Olivia Eden which made Niall and Reba reach out for her rendition of Niall’s song “This Town.” John told the 15-year-old girl that she had a beautiful voice and Gwen thought the yodeling in her vocals would become her “trademark.” Niall thought her voice would sound really good in a country song and he liked that she showed off so many parts of her voice in his song. Reba was “amazed” at how she was able to perform at such a young age with confidence and “vocal ease.” Since she sang his song, it was no surprise that Olivia joined Niall’s team.

20:21 – Caitlin Quisenberry moved to Nashville from Colorado after her grandmother died and left her legal career to pursue country songwriting. It wasn’t long after “Rainbow” and Reba turned in her chair as if it was another automatic statement, but Gwen also pressed the button at the very end. Niall regretted not turning around, but said it was because of the shaking at the beginning of the song. John agreed, but said she had figured out the song by the end. Reba heard the “quality” of her voice and said that it was her voice that she liked to hear. Gwen called it “raw talent” and said she needed a coach who could convey ideas to her and help her understand what choices to make in the future. Following Reba’s suggestion, Caitlin, along with her “red-haired comrade”, joined Reba’s team.

20:32 – What happened next Clayton Davis with Sunday Morning, but he failed to inspire any coaches to turn around. John praised his high notes, but said it was difficult to take Adam Levine’s vocals without comparing them to him. Gwen wanted “a little more dynamics” throughout the song, and Niall didn’t feel an “emotional connection” from the performance.

20:42 – Shared ride drivers Kara Tenae sang in the car with her passengers and then appeared in a commercial with Julia Michaels that aired during the Grammy Awards. Wanting to do better, Cara performed “Boo’d Up” for the coaches. This audition caught the attention of Gwen, Niall and Reba, and only John held out. Niall thought it was “amazing” because it was invisible at first and then she had “mad runs”. Reba said her voice comes from her “inner soul” and she has an “incredible” vocal range. Gwen wants to help Kara find the “emotion of a song” and believes they are a good match due to her stage personality and energy. Excited to compete with her friend “the girl from Cali”, Kara became the newest member of Team Gwen.

20:52 – The last artist of the evening was the music teacher Caleb Sasser from Los Angeles. As promised, Caleb came to life with his rendition of “Another Sad Love Song,” which immediately piqued the interest of Gwen and Niall. Shortly thereafter, Reba and John stepped in to make another four chair changes for the season. John called the audition “magical”, hearing the vocals of Toni Braxton and Anita Baker, and thought it was “really musical and really creative”. Gwen said she could help him bring him out of his shell and show his personality through his voice. Niall mentioned the “ease” with which he sings and could tell he was a good person by the way he sang. Reba concluded the performance by saying that his voice made her feel “peaceful inside” and that she would like to sing a duet with him. After calling all the great coaches, Caleb decided to follow his musical inspiration and joined Team Legend.
