In an alternate universe, did Travis Barker end up with Kim Kardashian instead of her sister Kourtney Kardashian?

In his 2015 memoir Can I Tell, the Blink-182 drummer, who is married to Kourtney Kardashian and expecting a child, revealed that he also had an affair with her younger sister Kim Kardashian.

At the time, Barker was dating Paris Hilton, who had flown to the rock band’s touring show in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and brought Kim Kardashian with her.
“Kim was cleaning people, and she was Paris’s cleaner at the time,” he wrote in the memoir. “She would grab Paris’s bags, put them in the closet, unpack them and put everything where Paris could find it.”
Barker then said that he, Hilton, Kim Kardashian and others rented bikes and rode “all over Amsterdam.” During the trip, he said, they “all got high as a kite in a cafe” and then headed to the Absinthe bar and the iconic red light district.
“I kept secretly eyeing Kim, telling Lil Chris, ‘I don’t give a damn if she’s a closet girl, she’s damn hot,'” he wrote.
Barker explained that he and Kim Kardashian kept in touch after Amsterdam, but back in Los Angeles, he was busy recuperating from a broken arm ahead of the end of Blink-182’s European tour. He flew back to Europe and was “doing more drugs than ever before: OxyContin, pot, and now booze.”
But the guilt subsided and Barker said he was “in a dark place” that made him question: “What was I, a father or a rock star?” At the time, he went home to look after his two children, Landon and Alabama, whom he shares with ex-wife Shanna Moakler.
Back in California, Barker said he bought a home for the family before he and Moakler split in 2008. The singer explains in the book his personal life after the breakup, which included moving away from Kim Kardashian.
“When I had free time with Shanna, I started talking to Kim Kardashian,” he said.
Barker said Kim Kardashian’s sex tape was just released and she recently broke up with Ray Jay. The 42-year-old told him she was in the early stages of planning a reality show for her family. “I respected her work ethic,” he wrote.
They then began “hanging out,” having lunch and dinner together, as Barker described in his memoirs.
“You might think that because of her notes, I would do the worst things to this girl, but it was the exact opposite of every other encounter I had with a woman: with Kim, I wanted to be nothing less than a gentleman to her.” ” he wrote. “It was so strange.”
Barker detailed their time together: using her in commercials for his company, swimming at his home, watching the Fourth of July fireworks together, visiting Kim Kardashian and her family at their clothing store.
“We were very sweet to each other, like little kids, and then when we broke up, she called me and said, ‘I want to see you again,'” he wrote, adding that he would respond, “‘Me too.'”
He and Moakler started talking again and reunited once again, he wrote, but was “really anxious to see Kim.” According to Barker, Moakler found out about his relationship with Kim Kardashian and “poured a drink on Kim” at the party.
But Barker and Kim Kardashian remained platonic.
“Kim and I have never touched each other,” he wrote. “It just wasn’t meant to be.”
Years later, in 2020, Barker asked Kourtney Kardashian, now 44, to a movie, she explained in The Kardashians, even though the older sister was interested in the drummer “long before they started dating.”
They went Instagram official in February 2021, with Kourtney Kardashian sharing a photo of the couple holding hands in a car. Barker then shared a heartfelt image from his story.
Kourtney Kardashian opened up about their first kiss on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which happened during a movie night in 2020. In the same episode, Kim Kardashian commented on the relationship, saying, “Kourtney was just in this amazing relationship. It’s like I’m seeing her happy for the first time.
