Will Cristiano Ronaldo appear at Crown Jewel tonight? WWE superstar jokes with football icon in Saudi Arabia

Cristiano Ronaldo’s links to WWE crossover to Crown Jewel continued tonight.

The leading pro wrestling promotion is eager for the Al Nasr superstar to make a cameo upon his return to Saudi Arabia.

WWE was the first major promotion to promote an event in the Kingdom, with boxing and mixed martial arts (MMA) not far behind.

Ronaldo is a trendsetter in footballers traveling to Saudi Arabia and is a regular at fighting events in the Gulf state.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo appear in Crown Jewels?

WWE’s Grayson Waller recently publicly criticized the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, sparking thoughts of a possible Ronaldo appearance.

The brash Australian posted a gif of the Portugal captain and wrote: “Football is a mediocre ‘sport’.

“I don’t know why people praise this failure so much.”

Waller is not currently on the cards for the Crown Jewels but is in Riyadh, so the possibility of Ronaldo appearing in his interview segments cannot be ruled out.

Reports emerged last month that Ronaldo would receive a large appearance fee if he agreed to appear alongside Senna and others.

The Crown Jewel is also a crossover star event favored by WWE, with Tyson Fury making his debut for the company in the 2019 event.

But Ronaldo seems unlikely.

Ronaldo’s club Al Nasr will face Al Kali in the King of Champions tournament today – the same day the Crown Pearl match will also take place.

Although the competition locations are both in Riyadh, only 10.2 kilometers apart, the competition does not start until 6 p.m.

This means that Ronaldo will at best be rushed into the main event or the end of the show, which seems unlikely from a practical and financial perspective.

Crown Jewels 2023 Dates and How to Follow

This year’s Crown Jewel will be held on Saturday, November 4th.

It takes place at the Mohammed Abdul Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Preliminaries will take place in the UK at 4pm and will be available to watch for free on WWE’s YouTube channel.
