Will Michael Jordan be the best man at his son’s wedding?

Marcus Jordan is getting married to Larsa Pippen and he wants his father, Michael Jordan, yes, Michael Jordan, to be the best man at his wedding. Yes, she is Larsa Pippen, Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife.

Since Marcus and Larsa revealed to the world that they were in love in January 2023, they’ve appeared on every show and podcast that has them, and Marcus’ most recent plea came on Tuesday’s episode of Barb “The Discovery of Ro Torre”.

I don’t think this tradition will continue.

Is Marcus just using his father’s name to gain influence? Get more headlines? Keep your name in the news? Did he just want more attention from his father? Well, earlier this summer, Michael Jordan was asked about his son’s relationship with his former teammate’s ex-wife, and the Chicago Bulls legend had a short and direct answer.

On Sunday, the GOAT (to most people) was spotted leaving a dinner at Matignon in Paris when Marcus, 32, and Pippen, 48, were asked about their relationship.

At first, Jordan just laughed – but the photo doubled down on asking Jordan if he agreed – to which Michael yelled “No!” The photo asked again, and MJ just shook his head no.

However, Marcus and Larsa said exactly the opposite during media appearances.

The couple spoke with Entertainment Tonight about their relationship and whether Michael Jordan approves of it.

“We spent Thanksgiving together last year and my family loves her,” Marcus, 32, added. “They think she’s great. Ultimately, I think my family just wants to see me happy. So as long as I’m happy, no matter who I date, they’re going to be happy.”

“Everyone had an opinion in the beginning,” he continued. “I think there was a little bit of shock and interest at first, but I think that’s the whole point of us trying to spend time with family over the holidays.”

“At least for me, if we’re going to be in the media, I need to introduce you to my mom, my mom’s side and my dad’s side,” Marcus recalled telling Larsa. “So, I think it’s going well, so far, so good.”

alienBryce Sandel then asked Marcus, “Do we get a Michael Jordan stamp of approval on Larsa?”

“Yeah, oh, yeah,” Marcus replied.
