Will Oppenheimer become the highest-grossing biopic ever?

Christopher Nolan’s feature film is on track to overtake Bohemian Rhapsody, which is currently the highest-grossing biopic in history, at the box office.

Oppenheimer is a recent feature film written and directed by Christopher Nolan (Beginning, Dunkirk), which returned to the big screen three years after the film’s release Dogma which actually divided (and not a few) the public and critics. However, this new film seems to have captivated almost everyone: if the critics appreciated this work the most, then the audience seemed to accept the project with great enthusiasm, drawing inspiration, in particular, from the book by R.Obert Oppenheimer, father of the atomic bomb From Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin. The latest box office data is not only very encouraging for the film, but also indicates a very close finish.

As reported, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, in fact, Oppenheimer is very close to becoming the highest-grossing biopic in history: it currently holds the record Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) with a total gross of $910 million, while Nolan’s film is currently stuck at $903 million. Analysts, however, suggest that this figure could rise sharply to around 912 million. What to say? Of course, this is an important goal, not necessary, but one that will further enhance the work of J. Robert Oppenheimer in the title role, who, while leading the Manhattan Project, led to the creation of the atomic bomb.
