On paper, the Falcons’ record should be much better than 3-3.
The offensive line may have taken a step back from last year, but is still a strong unit. Skills group includes 1,000-yard running back Tyler Allgeier, Swiss Army knife Cordarrelle Patterson and $50 million tight end Jonnu Smith . Oh yeah, and that doesn’t include three top-10 picks — Kyle Pitts, Derek London and Bijan Robinson.
Additionally, the defense ranks in the top 10 under Ryan Nelson. AJ Terrell, Jeff Okudah and Dee Alford have proven to be an effective corner trio. Jesse Bates might be the best free agent signing in franchise history, and the first seven players have been in Kaden Ellis, Grady Jarrett, David Onyemata and Calais Campbell applied pressure with help.
This is a well-rounded team, but the quarterback position holds them back. Desmond Reed had his moments. Most of it was bad, though. Brian Baldinger, a former offensive lineman turned analyst, has spoken highly of the Falcons’ roster, even calling them a Super Bowl contender…if Tom Brady Tom Brady at center.

I think you could make the case that some different team would be a Super Bowl contender with Tom Brady being the signal caller than they currently are, but that’s wishful thinking.
I don’t think Bald is necessarily wrong, but I also don’t think it’s fair to criticize Desmond Reed for saying the greatest of all time, Tom Brady, can lead this team to the promised land. nothing.
