Burns traveled to Israel today as part of a tour that included several Middle Eastern countries, including Egypt, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

The United States wants to prevent the war from expanding

It was reported that Burns, one of the Biden administration’s most trusted bureaucrats on the Middle East, will meet with Israeli officials to discuss US efforts to prevent the war from expanding and adding fronts.

Burns will also discuss efforts to secure the release of Israeli hostages.

The American official said that Burns will travel to a number of Middle Eastern countries to discuss the situation in Gaza, the ongoing hostage negotiations, and the importance of preventing the war with Hamas from spreading to a broader context.

The visit comes as the United States seeks to encourage Israel to take a more targeted approach to attacking Hamas, allow humanitarian aid into Gaza, and do more to prevent civilian casualties.

Izz al-Din al-Qassam’s success upset the CIA

The United States also seeks to increase intelligence sharing with Israel, provide information about the locations of Jewish hostages, and break ground resistance to the armed wing of Hamas, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades.

Providing information about the visit, the American official stated that the CIA Director intends to strengthen America’s commitment to intelligence cooperation with its partners in the region.

On the other hand, the United States is entering a phase in which reactions to the Israeli genocide are about to reach their peak.
