Rumors of a possible return Gal Gadot in the role amazing woman in the DC Cinematic Universe they have been chasing each other for several months, that is, since Wonder Woman 3 was cancelled, and James Gunn and Peter Safran became presidents of DC Studios.
In recent months, there has been talk about the possibility of the actress taking on the DC Amazon role again, and recently, on the occasion of the premiere of her new film Heart of stoneshe herself confirmed that she was ready to return to the role.
Today, another interview with Gadot was published on Flaunt, in which the actress claims that Safran and Gunn assured her of her return:
I was invited to a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran. They told me, and I quote them: “You are in good hands. We will develop Wonder Woman 3 with you. We adore you as Wonder Woman – you have nothing to fear.” So we can only wait.
The interview, however, was conducted more than a month ago, when the actors’ strike had not yet begun. That being said, Variety and Collider just published articles reliably reporting that no Wonder Woman movie is currently in development at DC Studios, and that Gunn and Safran have no plans to set one in the new DC Universe. The Paradise Lost series, a prequel to the saga, remains in development amazing woman.
Sources cited by Variety say that “Gadot was never promised anything about the film, and there have been no definitive conversations about her returning.”
