Many films were delayed due to WGA and SAG strikes, including Dune: Part 2. However, fans will still have the opportunity to see Timothee Chalamet on the big screen in another new project, Wonka. The first Wonka trailer was released in July: we saw the actor in a young version of Willy Wonka. The character was first introduced in Roald Dahl’s 1964 novel. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Total Film recently revealed what the next Wonka cover will look like. In the schedule, Timothée Chalamet shows off the character’s signature look.

Story Wonka
Earlier this year, Timothee Chalamet showed that Wonka would be something special for younger audiences. “It was just such a pleasure to work on something that would have a young, innocent audience. That’s why I was attracted to it,” Chalamet explained. “In a time and climate of intense political rhetoric, with so much bad news coming out all the time, hopefully this will be a piece of chocolate.”
However, director Paul King said that Wonka it’s darker than previous films centered around the character. “Of course, I tried to create darker characters than you might find in the film. PaddingtonFor example,” the director told Rolling Stone magazine. “It’s a more violent and mean world that Willy Wonka finds himself in because that’s the town Charlie grows up in. Unlike the world Paddingtonnot everyone in the world is kind Roald Dahl. I’ll definitely have to play with these grotesque ideas, but I hope I don’t hurt a generation of kids.”
Wonka aimed at young people Willy Wonka and his adventures before opening the most famous chocolate factory in the world. In addition to Chalamet in the title role, the cast also includes Olivia Colman (Favorite, Crown), Rowan Atkinson (Mr Bean, Love Actually), Sally Hawkins (Shape of water) AND Keegan Michael Key (Graduation, Shmigadun!). The story takes place before the events of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Paul King, known as director paddingtonis the director.
Wonka hits theaters December 15th.
