Since its announcement, Wonka really interested the public thanks to the desire to breathe again the atmosphere that we loved Chocolate Factory. Wonka is essentially a prequel to Tim Burton’s iconic film starring Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka, the eccentric creator of the world’s craziest candy factory.
However, in Wonka the role of young Willy will be played by one of the most talented actors in modern Hollywood, Timothee Chalamet who announced himself to the public Call me by name Luca Guadagnino, who then literally exploded working with such great directors and directors as Dunes, Bones and all that, French control room.
And it was the actor’s special talent that struck me Paul Kingdirected by Wonka.

Wonka, Chalamet’s singing abilities
There will be no shortage of musical moments in Wonka (a bit like what happened in Burton’s film), and Timothée Chalamet himself got to try his hand at singing and dancing. However, according to King, the young man did very well.
Chalamet was actually chosen to direct after he saw several YouTube videos of the actor dancing and singing in a musical during his high school years. From then on, it was love at first sight and Paul King said he never had any doubts about who should play young Willy Wonka.

“He has a beautiful voicePaul King said about Chalamet. “He reminded me of Bing Crosby. He covers a wide range because he starts with a couple of bigger, more exciting moments to get to more real scenes, raw emotion, and he can do it all. I’ll end up looking like a crazy fan. In the novel, the Oompa-Loompas sing a lot, and Roald Dahl always uses poetry. But I didn’t want the film to turn into a musical where people sing dialogue to each other for no apparent reason. I wanted it to be more like a movie with songs than a musical.“
