An unexpected trend that is also waning on social media and among fashionistas from all over the world who show off their very bright and gaudy yellow dresses for all occasions; like Kendall Jenner, who for dinner during her trip to Paris wears a sparkly sequined halter dress designed by Bottega Veneta and light white strappy sandals.

To be ready for this new bright and vibrant trend, we have chosen 18 fashionable dresses inspired by the looks the stars have been wearing in recent weekswhere the yellow dress is always the protagonist: from a cape that needs to be packed immediately, to elegant and flowing elegant chiffon dresses, even for colder seasons.

#1 Sunny yellow mesh cape

As we mentioned, transparencies are among the summer 2023 trends. Herefor this, we could not help but add two models of transparent yellow dresses.

Remiain midi dress in bright and sunny shade of yellow organic cotton, crocheted and embellished with small pearls that harmonize with the fabric; the hem is straight, and the silhouette is pencil. For the most special evenings, we have a long dress by Giuseppe Di Morabito with an underskirt embellished with bright crystals to match.

No. 3. A loose practical yellow dress.

Loose dresses are cool and don’t have to be worn to hide – yellow does it right! Wear with the same accessories as, for example, a yellow knitted hat from Prada.

The first dress from Cecilie Bahnsen, it has a wide cut and puff sleeves with interlaced details, the fabric is light and bright yellow, the satin texture makes it even more special. On the contrary, the COS model has a more minimalistic, but not obvious design with smooth and romantic lines; details will make the difference, such as the narrow collar with a ruffle effect and slits on both the sleeves and the side of the leg.

The latest version from Orandesigne: the silhouette is wide and soft, besides, compared to the first two models, the addition of openwork frills from the chest and beyond makes it even more above. A cut with a minimalist design, above all fresh and practical thanks to the cotton blend, ¾ sleeves and midi cut.

As an alternative, we opted for a canary yellow dress by Essentiel Antwerp, crafted in a chiffon blend to make it even softer and lighter; the cut is straight and smooth, with frills both on the skirt and on the sleeves; the latest is a See by Chloé long dress in soft cotton with a cut reminiscent of a flounced maxi T-shirt.

#5 Yellow chiffon mini and maxi dress

Even chiffon could not be missing from the trends of 2023, so we chose two different looks especially for this category:

Chiffon mini dress

Leonie Hanne in a mini dress from Blumarin flowing chiffon with maxi neckline and ruffles; an outfit in full summer spirit that can be worn with a hairstyle that pulls back the hair to make the most of the shape of the dress.

The H&M model is very similar to the one worn by Leoni, but in a softer and less form-fitting version, with a mini cut, ultra-thin spaghetti straps and frills all over the front, including the bottom hem.

Long chiffon dress

Aimee Song, on the other hand, is dressed in a long and soft silk chiffon gown, with her hair pulled back and makeup as radiant as glittering sandals, yellow with sheen.

Gorgeous long bandeau dress, elegant and tight, signed by Alexander McQueen: it is made from a lot of soft and precious silk chiffon, which makes it even more airy, and has a romantic sweetheart neckline. The second dress, with a decidedly more sober cut, is part of the exclusive Esteban Cortazar collection, which reintroduces the designer’s most iconic dresses: with a diagonal and long neckline, off the shoulder, always made of sheer silk chiffon.

#7 Yellow satin dress

The satin dress is a classic, but today we will focus on the long and bright yellow version; wear with a nice high heel or, for those who prefer comfort, with a nice kitten heel.

Model “Sanderson”, in almost golden yellow from Veronica Beard: perfect for the most special occasions, crafted in flowy silk charmeuse. The neckline falls smoothly, remaining slightly asymmetrical.

Less garish in terms of color, but equally thoughtful in terms of detail, this dress from GAUGE81 features a sweetheart neckline and an elasticated cut with light draping to accentuate the curves, and two beautiful side slits on both legs.

Last but not least, a yellow dress from LOEWE with a beautiful neckline. bardo, which almost gives the impression that the pauldron is slowly falling; in addition, we also find an asymmetrical hem that makes it dynamic and fluid.

Yellow as the main color of not only appearance, but also a way of life

Yellow is undoubtedly the trending color of this season. It came to life on the spring-summer 2023 runways and in fashionista looks between social media and street style, as well as in everyday life.
