Yellow Jacket would become MODOK in Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania

Although we still do not know anything official about Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania, Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne’s third film begins to look like one of the most promising of the current phase of Marvel Studios. Not only will it introduce us to Kang the Conqueror as the next great villain in this “multi-universe”, it will also introduce us for the first time to an old acquaintance from the comics, MODOK, the villain with the gigantic head.

But if that’s not a surprise to you, maybe this is. Thanks to an anonymous leak, we just learned that MODOK will not be played by a new actor but rather Ant-Man villain Corey Stoll who was known as Yellow Jacket, will become him.

Although the above can be considered as a rumor, the source of it is the Twitter account DanielRPK, a user who has demonstrated reliability with his sources in other films such as Venom 2 and Spider-Man: No Way Home. Also this strange turn in events for Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania begins to make sense if one begins to analyze the previous facts and other “small leaks”.

Marvel studios

For example, the character of Darren Cross will return to the film seeking revenge and it is a fact confirmed by Corey Stoll himself. Too consider that “Yellow Jacket” is still lost in the mysterious quantum world which has given powers to other characters who sailed through it like Janet Van Dyne. What if a mistake in his costume causes a malformation in his body giving him the final form of MODOK?

Finally Cross’s transformation into MODOK would perfectly start the also rumored Cassie Lang subplot, Scott’s daughter and successor to the Ant-Man costume, as a possible Young Avenger. Remember that in the first movie Darren Cross kidnaps Cassie while she was a child and now turned into a teenager she could face him, demonstrating her abilities for future projects.

Of course we are not saying that the information is true, we are only mentioning that it makes sense when we think about it for a moment and that the source that leaked the information has proven to be reliable. What do you think? Do you think Corey Stoll would do a good job playing MODOK in Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumanito ?
