Loose brushstrokes and green for a more modern touch
As for materials, dark woods such as mahogany, walnut, rosewood are most often used, while light ones are used for interior decoration. The corridor connecting the two rooms – day and night, is marked here by a richly decorated wooden shelf taken from a 17th century altarpiece. “The intervention was timely and focused on the renovation of a large and unique bathroom in order to create bathroom and another smaller one for service,” explains Giuliana Nardi, “and in the originally residential kitchen, bounded by a curved wall, which was reduced in favor of the living room, now larger and more regular.” On the floor, the white tar looks great, creating continuity in the space, interrupted only by the service bathroom, where the green intrudes. We then move on to the living room, which is dominated by an L-shaped wall that separates it from the entrance and from the kitchen, “the latter obtained as a result of the re-adaptation freedom panels in green lacquered wood and glass with floral motifs. Green is used for the walls of the kitchen, closed and linear, which has a very small window but benefits from natural light thanks to a glass partition that separates it from the living room.
