The episode features an epic ballad written by Ed Sheeran titled beautiful gamein which he reflects with nostalgia on the beginnings, conclusions, and triumph of love.


“Even if we haven’t reached the end. We must take a break from each other. Leave without regrets. Knowing I gave it all,” Ed Sheeran sings in the first verse of a song that seems to signal the final end of the Jason Sudekis show. A series about a fighting football club that rises from the bottom to the top thanks to Coach Lasso’s simple wisdom, off-the-wall style, and a healthy dose of “self-belief.”

And while neither Apple nor Sudekis have given a definitive answer about Ted or the future of the show, There’s a bittersweet aura of goodbye in Ed Sheeran’s chorus. “From the ashes we will rise again.
