It’s been a week since she filed a sexual harassment complaint by some members of her dance troupe, and for Lizzo, the media backlash is getting harder. In addition to numerous articles and editorials that analyze the story, questioning every aspect of the singer, she lost nearly 220,000 Instagram followers in the space of seven days.

Lizzo has built her career as an inclusive and female empowering message bearer, and allegations that she created a hostile work environment and pressured her former dancers – Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noel Rodriguez – to enter erotic shows are no doubt ruined his image.

The lawsuit, which also involves the production of “Big Grrrl Big Touring” and Shirlene Quigley, director of the corps de ballet, is yet to receive a final damages award that covers emotional stress, unpaid wages and legal fees. Recently, rumors have become more and more persistent that many brands collaborating with Lizzo are about to end their relationship with the singer.
