Lewis Hamilton’s dog makes the leap to the big screen: the Mercedes driver appears to have confirmed his presence in Brad Pitt’s F1 film.

Lewis Hamilton seems to confirm that IHis beloved dog Roscoe will play a role in Brad Pitt’s highly anticipated F1 film. The four-legged friend of the multiple world champion is already a celebrity in itself.

Roscoe, a vegan bulldog, has a social media page with nearly 880,000 followers. The profile is frequently updated with images and videos showing moments of the day-to-day life of the dog, often accompanying Lewis Hamilton in the paddock.

In 2018, the seven-time world champion told the media how much of his life Roscoe takes. The cute four-legged friend is not only a pet, but he also earns about $700 a day for every social media content he posts.

There popularity in social networks made sure Roscoe could be an integral part of Brad Pitt’s film. This was confirmed by the dog’s owner, Sir Lewis Hamilton, during a public appearance the day after the Silverstone Grand Prix.

Fans demanded to see Roscoe, who was not at the event. And then the Mercedes driver had to explain to them the reason for his absence:

“He worked all weekend” Hamilton told the crowd. “I think he was on set this morning filming a movie with Brad. So yes, he will be in the new F1 movie. Haven’t you seen what he does on Instagram?

Formula 1 film hit by strike in Hollywood

Filming Apex started at Silverstone, Brad Pitt and co-star Damson Idris were spotted in the paddock and on the track. A writers’ strike, later joined by unionized actors, brought all Hollywood productions to a halt.

As a result, unionized Pitt put the film on hold. Apex to express solidarity with all the strikers.
