‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ Stars Reunite and Have Fun Together at Taylor Swift Concert

Buffy star reunion on the Taylor Swift tour, where Sarah Michelle Gellar shared an Instagram photo with friend and former colleague Seth Green.

Seth Green left Buffy earlier than expected because he felt limited in his portrayal of Oz and wanted more depth in his scenes.

The lack of scenes and stories between Gellar and Green in Buffy was a missed opportunity to explore the dynamics between Buffy and Oz.

The two stars of Buffy the Vampire Slayer joined Taylor Swift’s recent Eras tour, which proved to be very popular with the cast. Various familiar faces and recognizable names have appeared at Swift’s recent high-profile concerts, including Sarah Paulson, Lupita Nyong’o, Darren Criss, Amy Adams, Elizabeth Banks, Zach Braff, Donald Faison and former New Girl cast member Max Greenfield.

Sarah Michelle Gellar, who played the demon hunter, reunited with former Buffy colleague Seth Green at one of Swift’s concerts at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

Gellar shared his encounter with Green, who played Oz on Buffy, in an Instagram post. The duo, who have been friends off set for a long time, received a comment from Buffy’s co-star Charisma Carpenter, who played Cordelia. She wrote, “FOMO and hello 👋 @sethgreen.”

The reunion will bring nostalgia to Buffy fans, as Green left Buffy early to work on the 2001 film Knockaround Guys. But in the same vein, Green left Buffy the Vampire Slayer because he felt limited in his portrayal of Oz. The actor talked about how he often offered ideas to series creator Joss Whedon to add depth to his scenes. Neither of these ideas materialized, and Green felt the character’s potential was being overlooked, which ultimately contributed to his early departure from Oz.

Essentially, Green explained that he spent long hours filming one of the show’s familiar group scenes in the library. And overall, Oz’s contribution was just a nod here and there. Oz was ultimately more of a way to develop the character of Willow (played by Alyson Hannigan) than a character presence.

This situation is understandable considering the show’s main focus is on Buffy, Willow, Giles (played by Anthony Stewart Head) and Xander (played by Nicholas Brendon), but it’s also a waste of opportunity given that Gellar and Green precede Buffy. Vampire Slayer. They had surprisingly few scenes together and there was practically no story that could shed light on their characters.
