The film will be released in US theaters at the end of August.
Blue Fox Entertainment released the official trailer Inventor, a stop-motion film about the life of Leonardo da Vinci. After directing the highly successful film Volkokhodov, Tom Moore will work in the creative team of the film directed by screenwriter Ratatouille Jim Capobianco. Made in stop traffic, the work consists of sequences created in 2D with hand-drawn drawings and animations with puppets. Tomm Moore will take care of the passages created in 2D in collaboration with his collaborator Fabian Erlinghäuser. The inventor is focused on the figure of Leonardo da Vinci., showing the Italian inventor and artist as he approaches the French royal court, where he is free to carry out his experiments, creating incredible machines and studying the human body. Princess Margaret will also help him, a presence that will help him understand the meaning of life. The film will be released in US theaters on August 25.

Tomm and I have been looking for a project that would allow us to collaborate since The Secret of Kells and my short film Leonardo were very well received at festivals. So it seemed like a unique opportunity to work together on The Inventor, a film that combines stop-motion and hand-drawn animation and would require the work of an exceptional talent like Tomm. The idea of the project is to create an animated film, as if directed by Leonardo da Vinci.
