More than 160 spectators decided to spend Saturday evening in the San Giovanni dei Fiori park among the most loved songs in history with singer Fatima Provillon and the DL Band at the review concert “Music in Summer Evenings 2023”. .
For the third time, the American artist returned to the city, where she was met by a devoted audience, which accompanied her performances with enthusiasm and participation.
On stage with Fatima Provillon, the DL group, made up of the most popular Sardinian musicians such as Claudio Dado Leo on guitar, bassist Luciano Manca, Daniele Piu on drums and Mauro Mulas on keyboards.
L’ensembles offered several world famous songs with individual interpretations and arrangements, with a repertoire of black music with nuances of jazz and funk.
These include “Crazy Race” by Roy Hargrove, “Talkin’ Loud” and “Roots” by unknown artists, “The Good Life” by Ben l’Oncle Soul, “Musicology” and “Call My Name” by Prince, “Don’t Mess with My Man” by Lucy Pearl, “Dear Day” and “Nothing Between Us” by Sade, “The Climb 2” by Maxwell, “It’s Love” and “The Long Walk” by Jill Scott and “Goodnight”. » John Legend.
The evening was also an opportunity to visit the small church of San Giovanni dei Fiori, guarded by Gremio dei Contadini. The spectators were able to admire the building accompanied by a guide, Maurizio Casu, Gremio’s representative.
The review “Music in Summer Evenings 2023” is curated by the concert organization “Alba Pani Passino” under the patronage of the Sardinia Region, the Ministry of Culture and the Sardinian Foundation, under the patronage of the Municipality of Oristano and in cooperation with the Guild of Farmers of Oristano.
