Plot of the film: Joan Wilder is a famous romance writer: still single, she lives in New York with her cat Romeo, hoping to meet a man worthy of the hero she tells about in her stories. His ordinary life is turned upside down when he receives a desperate call from his sister, who was kidnapped in Colombia. The woman went there to look for her missing husband, who meanwhile sent Joan a map leading to a priceless green stone. A gang of criminals, thieves of archaeological treasures, responsible for the kidnapping, is ready to release her sister only in exchange for a map.
Joan has no choice and decides to leave: she needs to get to Carregui, but upon arrival at the airport, she is intentionally directed in the wrong direction.
