A Game of Thrones cosplay turns one of Daenerys Targaryen’s dragons into battle-ready armor. Emilia Clarke played the role of Daenerys Targaryen in the hit HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones, also known as Khaleesi, an exiled princess determined to conquer the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros and reclaim her father’s Iron Throne. During the Game of Thrones season 1 finale, Dany’s dormant dragon eggs hatch into Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion, who grow throughout the series and eventually help her conquer Westeros.

An intriguing twist is a Game of Thrones cosplay shared by @timeshotfox.photography on Instagram, transforming one of Dany’s dragons that looks like Drogon into battle-ready armor worthy of a knight. Check out the cosplay video below:

Set to the iconic Game of Thrones soundtrack composed by Ramin Djawadi, the video features dragon armor with wings, claws, scales and horns. The description of the video, translated from German, reads: “Filming day with @thedodocosplay in the High Fens. At first glance, the photos look very cool, so stay tuned for the final results!”

More dragons coming to House of Dragons Season 2

House of the Dragon, the Game of Thrones prequel based on the book Fire and Blood, begins before most of the winged creatures perished in the Targaryen civil war, Dance of the Dragons. This allows the prequel to showcase many more dragons than its predecessor. Over a dozen dragons (including one that did not survive) were introduced in the first season, ridden by members of Houses Targaryen and Velaryon. For example, Damon rides the dragon Caraxes, also known as the “Bloody Serpent”, while Aymond rides a monstrous beast known as Vagar.

The second season of House of the Dragon, currently filming and unaffected by the Hollywood strike, will introduce more dragons as the Targaryen civil war escalates. Vermitor, who made a brief appearance in the House of the Dragon Season 1 finale, will likely return in Season 2 with a new knight. Tessarion, who breathes blue flames and is ridden by Daeron Targaryen, a character that hasn’t been introduced yet, is another new dragon that could appear in Season 2. With these and many more on the way, the second season of House of the Dragon should feature more dragon warfare than has ever been seen on Game of Thrones.
