Flirting between Drake and SZA
The as-yet-untitled collaboration between Drake and SZA will be their first in the studio. The pair have made headlines in recent years for their old flirtation.starting with the Toronto rapper mentioning singer TDE in the song Mister right now by 21 Savage from 2020, in which he said, “Said she wanna hang out with some SZA, wait / ‘Cause I dated SZA back in 2008.” SZA then addressed the rumors in a tweet, saying, “Actually it was 2009 lol… In this case, the year of the rap poetry license mattered lol. I think he just made up an innocent rhyme between “08” and “wait.” Anyone who actually knows me and has been around during this time can attest… it’s all love and peace.”
Earlier this week, Drake confirmed the release of the album’s first single.
