LeBron James and Anthony Davis leave Lakers facility, signaling start of minicamp

Players don’t have to report to training camp for the next two weeks, but LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have different schedules. Recent videos on social media suggest the team may be getting a head start in preparing for the 2024 season.

In a post circulating on Twitter, LeBron James and other members of the Lakers were spotted leaving the team’s facility. All the players were still wearing their gear as if they had just finished practice.

As LeBron, Anthony Davis and others left the court, they were greeted by a crowd of fans. They waved to the cheering crowd, got in their cars and left.

The Lakers turned their season around after last year’s trade deadline. The reshaping of the roster allowed them to keep going and make it all the way to the conference finals. Following their recent success, the team appears poised to achieve similar results next year.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis have what it takes to lead Lakers to great strides

The road has not been easy for the Los Angeles Lakers since winning the championship in 2020. They sacrificed their depth by trading Russell Westbrook, but the results didn’t turn out how they expected. With so much money invested in three stars, it will be difficult for the team to build a competitive roster.

Fast forward to 2023, and things are looking up in Los Angeles. For the first time since winning the Finals, LeBron James and Anthony Davis have complementary supporting casts. In addition to retaining key players such as Austin Reeves, the team also brought in big-name players such as Gabe Vincent from the Miami Heat.

With this new roster, LeBron and AD are in a good position to let the Lakers compete. The competition in the West will be fierce, but they have the talent to rival anyone.

Being ready before the start of training camp proves the Lakers understand the opportunity they have. Entering his 21st season, there’s no telling how much time LeBron has left. With that in mind, he’s trying to capitalize on the talent Rob Pelinka brought in.

Looking at the teams around them, Los Angeles will need any advantage they can get. The Denver Nuggets are in the best position to defend their title, while the Phoenix Suns are going all out to capitalize on their star power.
