Hundreds of Jews gathered in London’s Victoria Embankment Park at the invitation of the British Jewish Platform Against Occupation (Namod) and called for “an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the exchange of hostages, and an end to the Israeli blockade of Gaza.”
The demonstrators carried banners reading “Jews against genocide,” “Stop the occupation,” and “This Jew is for a ceasefire,” and chanted slogans “Ceasefire Now” in English and Hebrew.
The demonstrators demanded the unconditional release of hostages held by Hamas, such as thousands of Palestinians arbitrarily detained in Israeli prisons, and held a minute of silence for the lives of Israelis and Palestinians who have lost their lives since October 7.

Green Party Vice President Zach Polansky, who was of Jewish descent and attended the demonstration, stated in his speech that violence begets more violence and said, “We are here to say stop the violence. We are proud of our Judaism and we are here for the freedom of Israel and the Palestinians.” He said.

Al-Dabbagh said that Israeli leaders are trying to convince society of a world in which only the strong are right.
