Addison Rae releases her lost album, officially becoming a pop girl

After years of speculation and many requests from fans, Addison Rae’s “lost” album has officially been released.

It’s been a few years since Addison Rae, who first rose to fame thanks to TikTok, released new music, but it seems to have come from somewhere else. Rae pulled out of her “vault,” so to speak, for a five-song music EP, including the Lady Gaga-penned “Nothing On (But the Radio),” “2 die 4” with Charli XCX and her 2021 debut single, “Obsessed.”

Rae first announced the EP on Instagram, saying she “dug up some leaks from the lost album.” The tracks disappeared from YouTube, leading fans to believe she had finally released some of her pre-recorded material, including tracks that achieved cult status after being leaked online when the project was scrapped.

However, it seems even blackberry music is on the horizon for Rae. “Before I can move on to the next chapter in music, here’s a little caption for my previous one,” she wrote on Instagram on the EP’s August 18 release day. “Some of you may have heard these songs after they were released. unfortunately it was leaked last year… but if you liked them, you can now listen to them on all streaming platforms!!! Ahh!! If you haven’t heard them yet, I hope you give them a listen and they will make you dance!!”

A new era has dawned, but Rae took the moment to celebrate the first chapter of her music career before introducing the next. “Thank you to everyone who was so excited about this and supported me so much!! And thank you to all the writers/producers/engineers/everyone who was involved in the creation and completion of this little time capsule and helped release it into the world (officially). It’s time to turn the page. Stay tuned. It’s worth the wait.” Has pop music been saved?
