After 43 years, the Truffle Exhibition changes its name and image, with the debut of the National Exhibition of Valuable White Truffle from 3 to 5 November 2023. A denomination that emphasizes the projection of the event onto the Italian stage and the uniqueness of the tripol of the city of Castello and the upper Tiber valley, together with a logo that pays homage to its deep connection with the territory.
The evolution of an event that was initiated by the very young Monica Bellucci at the end of the 80s in the iconic photograph with a plate of trifola in the temple of taste of chef Pierluigi Manfroni, but will also be in essence and formula. There will be five days of the event as the market exhibition weekend of 3-5 November will be preceded by a preview of the event to the national and international press on 1 and 2 November. On November 2, the white truffle will appear on the tables of the restaurants of the historic center of Ticino, and thematic menus will be offered by professional chefs.
“Realizing how the white truffle defines the cultural and economic heritage of our territory, we focused on the connection with our land for a historical rebranding that looks to the future with important ambitions and the desire to build an inclusive event. , embracing and reflecting the entire vast heritage that we are the custodian of, represented by more than 1,000 quarries with 3,000 dogs, companies, restaurateurs and the entire local supply chain,” explained Mayor Luca Sekondi and Trade and Tourism Advisor Letizia Guerri at a press conference .
The inspiring motifs of the logo were then illustrated: truffle shapes defined the design of the outer perimeter of the logo, while gem cuts resembled the deformation of the inner lines. The chromatic selection is inspired by the enchanting autumn scenery of the Upper Tiber. The 2023 event will be entirely organized by the municipality.
