Alberta Ferretti and Sotheby’s are organizing a charity auction to support the reconstruction of the Emilia-Romagna region, which was severely affected by severe flooding last May (HERE ALL NEWS).

From 10 to 13 July, Sotheby’s will be auctioning off a collection of exclusive Alberta Ferretti dresses worn on the world’s most important red carpets. Proceeds from the auction will go to the Emilia-Romagna region to support families and businesses affected by the flooding that hit the region hard just a few weeks ago.

“The idea for this charity auction was born in me during the days when I was preparing my fashion show in Rimini and images of the incredible damage caused by the flood were on the news. I immediately thought that it was important to actively participate in fundraising to support our region. Therefore, in addition to actively committing, with the support of our employees, to donating and creating sweatshirts, the proceeds of which will go to charity, I decided to launch a special clothing auction,” explains Alberta Ferretti. “It was a spontaneous act of approaching Sotheby’s as it is an absolute reference point in the sector and I am very grateful to all of its team for such professional support in this activity, which I hope will contribute to the reconstruction. in areas so severely affected.

The online auction will feature 18 gowns worn over the years by a number of celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Sharon Stone, Amanda Seyfried, Eva Longoria, Cate Blanchett, Chiara Ferragni and Elsa Hosk, in exclusive moments of great international impact, including including the Cannes and Venice festivals, Vanity Fair and BAFTA Oscar parties.
A selection of these dresses will be presented to the public at Sotheby’s in Milan on 11 and 12 July.
