A New place world-oriented short filmsmeetings Women of the Earth to enhance female perfection and movie preview Leslie with the revelation of the actress Oscar 2023 Andrea Riseborough and the first title of a line dedicated entirely to female storytelling. These are the first new features of the next edition Alice in the cityautonomous and parallel section of the Rome Film Festival dedicated to youth, talent discovery and debuts, director Fabia Bettini and Gianluca Giannelli and planned for this year from 18 to 29 October.

A place that will simultaneously creative laboratory with three days (October 18, 19 and 20) of meetings, debates and debates, the purpose of which will be to accustom young authors and young producers to creative and professional exchange. A project that responds to a clear desire in the cinematic and audiovisual scene as a whole to find, beyond established hierarchies, new forms of collaboration to experiment, understand and relaunch the various nuances of the potential of young directors. A cross-cutting and thoughtful route, divided into four key points, integrated and linked to each other: panels, coaching, pitching and networking room, which will offer selected directors the opportunity to present their new projects to potential producers. The guest countries for the first edition will be Canada and France.

Activities related to the meetings are aimed at analyzing the current situation in the short film market; new dynamics of financing independent production and distribution; future challenges for the audiovisual industry; promotion strategies; relations with the public and cinema.
Alice in the city Part of the program will focus on works in which female protagonists are at the center of the narrative. The acclaimed debut feature is among the first films to be included on the list.
