WIJI SURF FEST, which will be held for the first time in Milan, will meet you on Friday, September 8 at the BASE in Via Bergognone, starting at 15:00. The completely free event will focus on surf culture and sustainable lifestyles. It begins with a series of activities such as sunset yoga classes and mindfulness sessions led respectively by Irene Traina and Rajan Gualtieri, available by booking online, before opening with a dedicated discussion panel presented by Marco Maccarini WIJI Talks at 6:30 pm. Titled Life in plastic is not fantastic, wave of flowers, Surfing in Italy AND Time is money… in a senseThe talks will be attended by Giovanni Rolfini and Luca De Gaetano, PROGETTO EUROPA Engineer and President of PLASTIC FREE ONLUS; Lucrezia Corciolani and Andy Bluevertigo, photographer and kayaking instructor, musician and artist, who for the occasion will give new life to an old surfboard by creating a work that will be up for sale with all proceeds donated to the PLASTIC FREE ONLUS fund; Ludovico Vanoli and Tommaso Scollo, president of Wakeparadise Milano and surf instructor; and Ilaria Riviera and Jack Jacelli, a personality and post-traumatic growth psychologist and psychotherapist, songwriter and instructor in mindfulness and meditation. From 19.50 you can listen to a lot of live music: artists SOFIE and Jack Jacelli with Monkeys in a Barrel (the latter with the visual performance Drift Live by Onde Nostre) will perform. To top it all off, the guys from LINOLEUM will then hold a DJ set. At the same time, a special beauty and massage corner will be installed on the magnificent BASE terrace, and works by Andy Bluvertigo, A NIGHT With artists, photographer Lucrezia Corciolani and illustrator Arrietti will be exhibited throughout the territory.
