‘American Horror Story’ season 12: Emma Roberts is preparing to give birth to a scary creature on a new poster

The 12th season of American Horror Story, titled “Delicate,” takes inspiration from the novel “The Delicate State” and explores topics related to pregnancy and attempts to prevent a woman from giving birth. The poster for AHS: Delicate shows Emma Roberts holding a glowing orb and wearing black gloves, hinting at a plot about pregnancy and potential horrifying experiments. There is a connection between AHS season 12 and Rosemary’s Baby, with the key difference being that Roberts’ character is aware of the atrocities from the start.

As Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story season 12 approaches, a new poster has been revealed. Since 2011, the Emmy-winning anthology series has explored a new horror theme each season, delving into themes like Coven, Vault, and Apocalypse. Season 12 (airing Sept. 20 on FX) is titled “Delicate” and will draw inspiration from Danielle Valentine’s novel “The Delicate Condition,” a thriller that follows a pregnant woman who believes she is being prevented from giving birth. Seasoned American Horror Story actress Emma Roberts will again feature prominently in this story.

Ahead of the release of American Horror Story: Sensitive, the official Twitter account posted a poster reading “Keep your loved ones close, keep your fears close.” Look at the poster below:

The poster shows Roberts with red letters “AHS” against a backdrop of storm clouds and tulle curtains fluttering in the sky. Roberts wears black patent leather elbow-length gloves and holds a glowing orb that envelops the spider’s shadow.

Pregnancy topics at AHS 12

Roberts holding a spider ball in front of her stomach appears to be another reference to pregnancy in American Horror Story posters. Since Roberts is set to play the Valentine novel’s protagonist, Anna Alcott, Roberts is likely to be subjected to book-like horrific experiments. Some of the posters also show American Horror Story newcomer Kim Kardashian holding a newborn baby wrapped in a blanket, and Kardashian character Siobhan Walsh could also become involved in Anna’s pregnancy storyline.

There is also a link between American Horror Story season 12 and Rosemary’s Baby. The classic horror film follows a pregnant woman named Rosemary who begins to suspect that her neighbors are plotting against her unborn child. The key difference between the two plays is that Roberts’ character is aware of the wrongdoing by the doctors from the very beginning of the season, as opposed to the film’s finale.

Emma Roberts has played a variety of roles in American Horror Story, from Madison Montgomery in American Horror Story: Coven to Maggie Esmerelda in American Horror Story: Freak Show. In the upcoming 12th season, Roberts will mark his fifth appearance on the show, returning for the first time in four years.
