Former tennis player Ana Ivanovic began designing her ideal tennis player, incorporating features from several women’s tennis legends, including WTA standouts Serena Williams and Shi Steffi Graf.
Ivanovic reached a career-high world No. 1 ranking in 2008 and won her first Grand Slam title at the French Open that year. In addition, she also won the runner-up at the 2007 French Open and the 2008 Australian Open. After reaching the pinnacle of her sport, the Serbian star experienced some ups and downs in her career before retiring in 2016.
Djokovic mentioned in list dominated by women
In a recent video posted on social media, Ivanovic was asked to create his tennis player. The 36-year-old tennis player selects players based on serve, strength/power, endurance, slice, lob, forehand and backhand. She chose Serena Williams’ serve and power/power, Caroline Wozniacki’s resistance, Steffi Graf’s slice and Once Jabour’s lob. As for the right side, he chose Iga Swiatek, although he also likes his right side. As for the backhand, he chose his compatriot and ATP star Novak Djokovic, whom he considers to be the best backhand in the world.
“Well, the best backhand in the world is probably Novak (Djokovic), so I’m going to switch from the women’s backhand to the men’s backhand,” Ivanovic said in the video.
