Anne Hathaway went on a trip to the 60s and returned with a beehive – see photo

Let’s go back to 2008. You’re sitting in front of the TV, not-so-patiently waiting for your show to come back, and then you see an ad for this crescent-shaped thing called the Bumpit. It was specifically designed to create a lightweight high pouf and I am 99.9 percent sure that Ann Hataway she was wearing one because of the huge beehive she recently had.

On September 28, the actress paired her updo with a green and silver patterned dress at the Clooney Foundation for Justice’s 2023 Albie Awards in New York City. The hair on the top of her head was cut, leaving strands at the front to frame her face. This strand of hair was used to form a voluminous hive under which Bumpit could be hidden. (All kidding aside, probably not—her hairdresser probably just combed her hair and pinned it in place to give it height.)

The rest of her dark hair was worn down in waves that reached down to the middle of her back. The face-framing pieces were curled up and away from her face, allowing them to adorn her cheekbones almost like curtain bangs. Although her hair is dark brown at the roots, it fades into a brighter shade of cinnamon about halfway through.

As for her makeup, she kept it simple, letting her beehive hairstyle take center stage. Brown shadow was smudged on the lids and a small cat eye was drawn along the lash line. The pink blush on her cheeks matched her glossy lips.

Hathaway seems to be a big fan of the bouffant hairstyle, as this isn’t the first (and certainly not the last) time we’ve seen her with this look. At the Met Gala, she wore a beehive that was bigger and even more dramatic. It’s too early to tell if this look will become her signature, but we can’t wait to see how else she plays with her style.
