The Los Angeles Lakers might want that guy back.

Daven Ham’s team had a terrible defensive performance as the Purple and Gold were eliminated by the Orlando Magic 120-101 on Saturday night.

The Lakers outrebounded the Magic 51-40, and the Orlando Magic shot 45.5 percent from the field and 36.4 percent from beyond the arc. In contrast, Los Angeles struggled from deep, shooting just 8-of-30 from the field in the loss.

LeBron James had 24 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals, Anthony Davis had 28 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists and 7 blocks, but it was not enough for the team to overcome Falling behind by a big margin.

Although Davis performed well on the offensive end, he ended the game with a 24-loss record. In other words, the only player on the team with a + score is James, who has a score of +12.

After the Lakers lost 3-0 on the road this season, fans were quick to criticize Davis and the Lakers’ poor defensive performance:

If the purple and gold want to advance in the 2022-23 season, they need to be better defensively than they were against the Magic.
