The Lakers are hoping to get a win against the underperforming Trail Blazers, however, Los Angeles is dealing with injuries. LeBron James and Anthony Davis have both been dealing with injuries, so they are not guaranteed to play Friday.
The Lakers currently have a record of 6 wins and 6 losses. Their overall performance as a team was mediocre, which was disappointing after they spent the offseason building a competitive roster. Los Angeles is looking to get back into the win column after falling to the Sacramento Kings 125-110 on Wednesday.

LeBron James, Anthony Davis’ injury status compared to Trail Blazers
According to the NBA injury report, Davis is listed as probable with a left adductor/hip spasm injury. However, LeBron is doubtful due to a left calf injury.
Barring a setback, Davis is leaning toward playing Friday. But James’ status does hang in the balance.
LeBron James continues to shine for the Lakers. He averaged 24.6 points per game, shooting 57% from the field and 37.3% from three-point range. LeBron averaged 6.1 assists and 8.6 rebounds per game.
Davis has had an inconsistent season so far. He averaged 22.1 points per game, shooting 52.4% from the field and 33.3% from three-point range. Davis averaged 11.6 rebounds and a league-leading 3.4 blocks per game.
However, he stepped up with some forgettable performances. This drew intense attention from the media, as most believe Davis needs to be the Lakers’ best player in order for the Lakers to be successful in the 2023-24 season.
