As Dwayne Johnson and John Cena’s careers suffered due to strikes in Hollywood, Cody Rhodes ventures into similar territory

While Hollywood witnesses the SAG-AFTRA strike, the WWE Universe received two blessings in the form of John Cena And Dwayne Johnson. The strike prompted two wrestlers-turned-actors to return to WWE. While fans were excited about the return of the icons to WWE, it was not a good sign for WWE. Cody Rhodes.

Cena and Johnson’s return to Stamford didn’t stop Rhodes’ momentum, but it certainly slowed it down to a significant pace. It looks like American Nightmare has returned the favor by stepping into their territory.

Cody Rhodes enters the world of anime

Netflix Anime recently released a trailer “Captain Laserhawk: Blood Dragon Remix” on different social media platforms. In the trailer, fans noticed a character similar to Rhodes – blonde hair and ‘Dream’ chest tattoo. In the clip you can see the anime version of him running to attack, only for his head to explode.

After seeing the trailer on Twitter, the 2023 Royal Rumble winner reacted to his character’s head exploding. He wrote, “I went boom “. He also thanked Adi Shankar (creator and executive director of the animated series) for participating in his upcoming project.

So far, it looks like Shankar has only used Rhodes as a character in his series and has chosen someone else to voice the character. Still, even this small role is a big step that could pave the way for the WWE superstar to enter Hollywood with Johnson and Cena in the spotlight.

Is Cody Rhodes’ momentum diminishing?

Before Cena and Johnson returned to WWE, Rhodes was at the top of his career. Ending my chapter with the words Brock Lesnar, it looked like he would be heading to WrestleMania 40 to finish his unfinished story. But now he has not one, but two big pit stops on his way to WrestleMania.
