Avex USA Publishing has entered into a joint venture with Coup D’Etat Music, a subsidiary of The Revels Group, to sign Nigerian Afrobeats singer and producer Victoni.
Known for his viral hit Soweto Last year, Victony collaborated with artists such as Rema, Burna Boy and Don Toliver.
Victony has amassed nearly five million monthly listeners on Spotify, one billion video views on YouTube, and over a million followers on Instagram. Soweto has generated over 130 million streams and one million created on TikTok to date, earning him a deal with Joey Manda’s Encore Recordings label.
Victony is managed by KVLT WRLD’s Jemedafe Caleb, along with Tobi Mohammed, David Edogame, Abiodun “Bizzle” Osikoya and Asa Asika of The Plug Entertainment. He is also represented by Kelvin Nana of Bray & Krais.
The artist, nicknamed “The King of Outlaws,” has been making music since childhood, initially in the field of hip-hop. However, this was his foray into Afrobeats with hits like Holy father featuring Mayorkun and the release of his EP Criminal in 2022, it catapulted him onto the world stage.
