It has finally been announced when it will be released Dancerthe highly anticipated spin-off of John Wick. It will arrive in theaters on June 7, 2024, just over a year after the fourth chapter of the saga led by Keanu Reeves.
Just the star had recently revealed when it is set Dancer. Now we finally know everything about the “when”, both at a diegetic level and as regards the non-diegetic aspect: all we have to do is wait for the “where”, ie the cinemas where it will land.
Dancer will be directed by Len Wiseman and written by Shay Hatten (already known to the general public for having worked on Army Of The Dead by Zack Snyder e John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum), Len Wiseman and Emerald Fennel.
At the level of diegesis, the film will be placed between John Wick 3 And 4. The plot will revolve around the character of Rooney (played by Ana de Armas), a killer-dancer thirsty for revenge against the killers of her family.
The cast is made up, in addition to de Armas, by Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, Angelica Huston and the ever-present John Wick aka Keanu Reeves.
The first take was November 7, 2022 in Prague. After filming, the film entered post-production in February 2023.
