Bella Poarch And Lauv teamed up to record a new single, “Crush.”
Now it’s part of Bella’s rise that’s being widely recognized for the first time. like a Tik Tok heroine, her first love has always been music. Explosive singles “Build A Bitch” received noticeand her wonderful EP “Dolls” turned out to be truly exciting.
“Crush” pushes back a bit on the future of electronics, instead aiming to create something pure and innocent. In combination with Lauvthese two are working on a powerful pop song and it’s great to hear these two voices together on one release.
Bella Poarch says the song represents “the fun, bright side of me” and it’s certainly full of color – just right for these late summer days, a hazy ode to the intoxicating power of falling in love with someone.
She says:
“The song itself is light, sassy and gives you that flirtatious feeling of butterflies in your stomach that happens when the sparks start flying. It’s about being in the moment and doing simple things like overeating on Love Island or falling innocently in love without thinking about it (which I’m guilty of).
Having recently collaborated with Grimes, Bella Poarch shows her openness with another musician – Lauv perhaps closes the song, his voice a perfect contrast to her own.
She adds: “Lauv is an incredible artist and it’s an honor to work with him. He’s one of the nicest people I’ve ever met and I really enjoyed working with him hehe.”
For his part, Lauv adds: “‘Crush’ is that feeling when you’re in love with someone but you don’t want to cross the line because it’s so much fun to just be a little infatuated with them.” Love singing with (Bella) and am so glad “Crush” is finally out!”
