Bernaregio: start of fire, bank evacuated
Based on the initial reconstruction of the facts, it appears that the cause of the fire was a faulty air conditioner. The alarm was raised by the same downtown bank employees who noticed smoke coming out of the device. The bank was immediately evacuated for humanitarian operations. However, no one suffered the consequences.
Firefighters and law enforcement are on site
The fire brigade immediately arrived at the scene and did everything possible to extinguish the fire that had begun before the flames had time to reach the boiler and gas control installations. As a precautionary measure, 118 medical workers, carabinieri from the Bernaregio station and local police agents also intervened in Via Prinetti, helping traffic that had previously been slowed down by the presence of ambulances.
