Beginning October 12, viewers around the world will be able to take part in an online auction to celebrate Disney’s 100th anniversary, with Beyoncé wearing the iconic Black Is King jumpsuit.
Global superstar Beyoncé joins an epic group of creative visionaries supporting Create 100, a global campaign celebrating creativity through 100 years of storytelling. Disney. Creatives, brands and next-gen talent from over 18 countries joining the campaign include: Adidas, Christian Louboutin, Maison Valentino, NIGO, Pandora, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Tommy Hilfiger, Vik Muniz and Virgil Abloh.
Disney storytellers Kevin Feige, Jennifer Lee, Jon Landau and Pete Docter also donated several special products representing their studios’ films and stories. The jumpsuit worn by Beyoncé in the visual album Black Is King adds to this iconic body of work, inspiring new generations with the Disney classic The Lion King.
Fans from around the world will be able to participate in the auction to win items and experiences inspired by each creator’s connection to the stories and characters of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and the 20th Century. The auction will include 18 countries from October 12 to 30, with proceeds benefiting Disney’s charity partner Make-A-Wish. In support of the Create 100 initiative, Disney is donating $1 million to Make-A-Wish® to support wishes that can improve the lives of girls and boys suffering from serious illnesses.
For more than 40 years, Disney and Make-A-Wish have worked together to grant wishes to more than 150,000 girls and boys around the world, a commitment that makes Disney the world’s leading wish granter. Life-enhancing desires include shopping, studio visits, parks and resorts, cruises, celebrity sightings, sports experiences and more. Many Disney cast members are also volunteers, parents of children making wishes, or adults who benefited from this collaboration as children.
