Forbes has released its annual list of the top fashion creators in 2023, which includes three Filipino-American personalities: Bretman Rock, Bella Poarch and Patrick Starrr.

The American magazine defined fashion-savvy creators as those who “shape global tastes and trends in art, style and luxury goods.”

In collaboration with marketing agency Influential, the list includes 50 creators with a combined 1.1 billion followers across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and more.

Authors were screened based on follower count, engagement level and entrepreneurial activity – where they rated the authors on a scale of one to four, depending on how they make money using traditional advertising or creating their own brands and services.

First movie on the list Bretman Rock landing at 7th Spot, amassing 52 million subscribers with an average engagement of 3.4%. The magazine also gave him a 2 for entrepreneurship.

Famed for his fun makeup tutorials, Bretman has collaborated with major brands over the years, including Nike and Valentino.

“The Hawaii-based Filipino-American author has reached new heights since going beyond the ‘beauty guru’ moniker, becoming the first gay man to cover Fashion Philippines and Playboyand work with Nike, Balmain, Valentino, Crocs, Amazon and Google,” his profile said.

He also published his first book, You’re Such a Bitch: And Other Lessons on Being Yourself. He had his own book presentation and signing event in the Philippines in March.

Staircase 12th The list includes makeup guru and now licensed esthetician Patrick Starrr, who has 12 million followers and an average engagement rate of 1.40%. He also has an entrepreneurial score of 4.

Patrick Starrr, whose real name is Patrick Simondak, began his career in content creation on YouTube in 2013. Since then, he has become one of the biggest names in the industry, paving the way for the launch of his own beauty brand, One/Size.

Pop singer and influencer Bella Poarch was in 22nd placend on the list, with 112 million followers and an average engagement rate of 0.65%. The magazine gave her an Entrepreneurship Score of 3.

“The Filipino-American Navy veteran went from TikTok to pop and fashion star. In 2022, she released her first album, Dolls. In 2023, she partnered with luxury brands Miu Miu and Hugo Boss, and also fronted Steve Madden’s fall campaign and modeled for Rihanna’s Savage.

She was also recently named one of Forbes’ Top Authors of 2023 with earnings of $3.3 million (P189 million).

In 2022, Bella was named to Forbes magazine’s annual “30 for 30” (social media) list, a list that recognizes people for significant contributions and achievements in their industries. She won her first Kids’ Choice Award in March.

Meanwhile, the Forbes Top Creators: Fashion 50 list is topped by Emma Chamberlain with a total of 28 million followers and an average engagement of 6.25%. She also has an Entrepreneurship Rating of 4.

She has worked with major brands such as Louis Vuitton, Canon and Levi’s. She also became an ambassador for luxury jewelry brand Cartier and was named the youngest face of luxury cosmetics brand Lancome.
