When someone talks about BTS, it is generally accepted that they are the reigning champions of the K-pop world and boy bands in general. The seven members – RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook – have not only taken the music scene by storm, but have also made a significant impact on social media. Although the youngest member, Jeon Jungkook, is no longer active on Instagram, the rest of the members continue to dominate.

Their fame and influence have extended beyond music, according to the latest HypeAvisor study. This analysis showed that five members of BTS and two of BLACKPINK took coveted positions in the top 10 elite Instagram likes. The remaining three places were taken by Cristiano Ronaldo, Taylor Swift and Zendaya.
These ten Instagram accounts consistently average over five million likes on their posts. BTS’s Kim Taehyung takes first place with an average of 9.2 million likes and 61.8 million followers. Kim Seokjin, another BTS member, comes in second with the same average number of likes as V but has 49.9 million followers.
Known for providing an extensive set of tools and reports for in-depth analysis of Instagram influencers, HypeAvisor has traditionally focused on influencers with huge followings. However, this time they took a different approach by identifying Instagram’s elite based on the highest average number of likes received per post.
