CHICAGO — Michael Jordan is once again on an exclusive list thanks to his accomplishments on and off the basketball court.

This time, he must deal with the wealth he has accumulated during his career.

This week, Forbes named the Bulls legend and Basketball Hall of Famer to its list of the 400 richest people in America. He is ranked No. 379, and the publication estimates his wealth at $3 billion.

According to Forbes, he is the first professional athlete to break into the top 400 and is one of 18 people on the list in 2023.

A six-time NBA champion, six-time NBA Finals MVP and five-time regular season MVP, Jordan built his wealth through a lucrative deal with Nike and his recent departure from the Charlotte Hornets.

These are just some of the many business ventures that began during his famous career and continue with the 60-year-old. He remains involved in professional sports and is co-owner of 23XI Motorsports, which competes in the NASCAR Cup Series.
