Burgos is the province with the lowest proportion of the population vaccinated against influenza in the Castile and León region. According to the council’s latest update, 77,390 people, or 21.8 per cent of the population, have received the sting.

This ratio is the lowest among all provinces in the community. At the regional level, 649,166 people have been vaccinated, 11.9% of them from Burgos.

The Ministry of Health has launched a flu vaccination marathon on Saturday, January 13 and Sunday, January 14. Interested citizens can go and pick up the corresponding doses without making an appointment. The Reference Center will be open from 10am to 8pm.

A few days ago, the Ministry of Health publicly called for influenza vaccination after verifying that despite the assumption that the vaccine would be needed in the wake of the covid-19 pandemic, vaccination rates are still below expectations and targets.

The Ministry of Health is focusing on the under-five group, which has one of the worst statistics along with the 5 to 14 age group.
