great success, in recent times, in Agnon Cilento, in the municipality of Montecortis, for “Cantasilento”, The singing festival was conceived by Lino Radano in the now distant 1990, which saw the participation of 21 contestants between the ages of 5 and 69, and a qualified jury composed of music teachers, composers and songwriters.
The incident, “Maria Ss.” Strongly supported by Del Carmine in Agnon Cilento, composed by Annamaria Milo, Adele Malzone, Antonio Milo and Giuseppe Del Mastro, took place in the inner courtyard of the Church of Maria SS, thanks to the support of the parish priest Don Gianluca Cariello. The jury composed of Giuseppe Guariglia (chairman), Manlio Monzo, Daniela Wickell, Grazia Esposito, Stefania De Santi, Maddalena Toscano, Alessandra Maffia, Angelo Malzone, Luciano Tarulo and Annamaria Fusco awarded first place to Marco Ferrara, second to Fabiana Esposito and third place on Caterina Pollaro. Critics’ Prize and fifth place for little Mara Monzo, only five years old, together with multi-instrumentalist Manlio Monzo, choir director and classical guitarist, who graduated from the “G. Martucci” Conservatory in Salerno.
The evening, marked by music and entertainment, also saw performances from various guests and ended with a tribute to Naples, Italy’s champion, on the notes of a hymn composed by Nino di Angelo.
