CDMX Launches Hepatitis A Vaccination Campaign

Capital authorities invite citizens to free Hepatitis A vaccination campaign at 233 health centers

Within the framework of World Hepatitis Day, the Ministry of Health (Sedesa) calls on people to Strengthen hygiene measures and participate in free vaccination campaigns Fight Hepatitis A.

Immunizations carried out in health centres, children’s day care centers and nurseries in 16 municipalities. It is also available for children aged 1 to 8 years in families working in the agricultural sector, especially in Milpa Alta, Xochimilco and Trahuac.

The following services are provided through the Mexico City Public Health Service:

  • Free Screening Test
  • Supply medicines to patients in need
  • Train health personnel to make people aware of the disease

Hepatitis A Symptoms

According to medical reports, the most common symptoms include:

  • Sudden fever
  • malaise and loss of appetite
  • nausea
  • stomach ache
  • Dark urine and jaundice (yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes)

If some of the symptoms already mentioned, people can go to the health center closest to their home, workplace or school Doctors will serve them free of charge.
